5/8/2009 @ 7 AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Our 1 Day reprieve from the Rain was cut short by 30 minutes as we had a Thundershower at 6:30 this morning that has as of 7 AM deposited .30″ of rain in the old rain bucket. Thunder is continuing for a while this morning as this clears out. There will be a break in the action this morning and then a round of possible Severe Storms this afternoon. This next round looks pretty strong on the Satellite pictures. The weekend is looking like more of the same as we will see more waves of showers and storms from time to time. I managed to cut some grass yesterday but it was wet. I don’t think I turned a dry wheel all day. Spent half a hour just cleaning the machine, and I was nasty too. We may not be able to hit it again until next Tuesday when maybe we can string together a few dry days. We will likely see some sun before round two this afternoon and temperatures should be in the mid 80’s. I would advise anyone to keep a eye on the weather this afternoon and check with TV or the NOAA weather radio. Now for the facts for our once again Soggy Friday morning.

We reported .30″ of Rain for the last 24 hours. Still managing our string of wet days for May.
Temperature at 7 AM is 63 degrees. Looking for 85 for the High if and likely when the Sun comes back out. Low of 63 tonight.

Barometer is 29.90″ and falling. We are also continuing our string of Low Pressure days. We will be mostly unstable all weekend. Looking for Higher pressures next week.

Humidity is 95% with rain at 7 AM. We did see some drying yesterday afternoon and last night but that is over for now.

Wind is Northwest at 10 mph at observation time. Due to a thunderstorm in the area. As this clears out we will return to Southwest and 10 to 15 mph. Gusty and Variable in and near the Storms.

The Sky is Overcast this morning. looking for partly cloudy later and then more clouds overnight. We should see some Sun between this first round and round two this afternoon.

The Summary for today, Rain this morning and then a brief break and perhaps some Sun before Storms this afternoon. Some Storms may be Severe so be prepared. High of 85 and Low of 63. Weekend looks wet. We could have a Spell of rough weather this afternoon and more waves perhaps overnight. Hang in there we will see you on Saturday.
