Friday ends the workweek much warmer than Monday started out. We could very possibly see that 70 degree mark today. The High here yesterday was 66 degrees with gusty Southwest winds and a lot of clouds but we had some Sun as well. The Clouds will hang on today and the Wind is going to be gusting at 20 mph or more so hang onto your hat. Even with all the Clouds I don’t see much in the way of Rain chances before Sunday. The beginning of next week we’ll go into a period of wetter and more unsettled weather so enjoy this dry spell while you can. The Snow has finally all disappeared, the 55 degree night finished it off. We have a fairly low Humidity level in spite of all that South wind and the ground is firming up after that 7″ of Snow had it pretty well saturated. We will see even warmer air Saturday and by Sunday I would at least be on the lookout for Thunderstorms but nothing looks very organized yet. Now I have to get to my chores so here are the facts for today.We did not have any precipitation in the last 24 hours.Temperature at 7 AM is 56 degrees. That appears to be the low for the overnight. We will hit or exceed 69 today and go back down to about 55 overnight. Saturday maybe 75 for a High.Barometer is 30.15″ here and Falling very slowly now. Don’t look for anything major developing on the pressure situation for another couple of days.Humidity is 60% here this morning, that’s on the low end of the scale for this early hour. We are still drying out a bit. The low humidity and strong winds will likely result in some wildfire danger for areas that are prone to that. It seems like our County Fire service works a lot more grass fires than they did in years past.Wind is Southwest at 10 mph and gusting to 20. The gusty winds will continue for next couple of days but it at least settles down at night to about 5 to 10 mph.Sky is mostly cloudy this morning. We have clouds all weekend but still see a shot of Sun from time to time.The summary for today. Cloudy and mild, High of 69 and Cloudy tonight with a low of about 55. More clouds and 75 on Saturday.
